EASTER 2016

OUTFIT DETAILS: cardigan (similar) // dress (extra 30% off with code: BESTDRESS) // heels (on sale!) // necklace

Happy Easter, y'all! This year for our Easter cantata at church, we were asked to wear pastels. When I went shopping, I had in mind either pale pink or light blue, but then I came across this dress and fell in love! It wasn't completely pastel, so I threw on this cardigan during the service. I'd never been in a Dress Barn before now and let me just say how great it is! So many cute dresses for reasonable prices is a win-win in my book!

One of my New Year's resolutions was to share more faith-based posts, so what better time to start than Easter! First of all, I would like to say that if you don't already know, I am a believer in Jesus Christ and believe he came to save all who believe in Him from our sins so we could live eternally with Him in paradise. Also, I always want to be 100% real with you, so I think it's safe to say that writing posts like this is not easy for me and can be down right scary...so bear with me. :)

As Christians, we believe that Jesus paid the ultimate price by suffering and dying a humiliating death, buried in a tomb, and three days later arose defeating death and sin (Matthew 28) so that we can have salvation and live in hope of a better life with Him. After Jesus had risen, he gave his disciples a Great Commission: "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

You see, it's not just about believing in Christ so I can have a free ticket into heaven when I die, but actually following Christ while I'm still here on earth because He died for me. When you follow something, you tend to know everything there is know about it, right? When you really love someone, you want to spend all your time with them getting to know them...am I right? That's the way Christ wants us to be with Him. We are called to share the Gospel with others, study His word and be diligent and loving servants of Christ. I'll be the first to tell you that following Christ isn't easy, but it's so, so worth it, my friend!

According to His great mercy, He has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and into an inheritance that is imperishable, uncorrupted, and unfading, kept in heaven for you. (1 Peter 1:3-4)

"He is not here, for he has risen, as he said." Matthew 28:6

Amen!

If you don't know Christ or are on the fence about getting to know Christ, please do not hesitate to email me, comment on this post, or anywhere I post on social media and I would love to talk to you about Jesus because he is awesome!

Stay sunny and Happy Easter!

-Katie
