MERRY CHRISTMAS!

My sweet Ace! Isn't he so handsome?!

Merry Christmas, y'all! I can't believe it's finally here! I feel like this Christmas kind of snuck up on me a bit, but I'm not complaining at all. This is by far my most favorite time of year. I had so much fun shooting this look and the best part- it started snowing in the middle of it! How awesome is that?! Yes, it's just teeny little flurries and it only lasted maybe an hour, but it was just perfect! It's also kind of weird because it's now 79 degrees out... #ChristmasintheSouth

This is my family's first Christmas in our new house in Tennessee. It's definitely different not spending the holiday's with our friends and family back in Georgia, but it's fun to make new memories! This past Wednesday, my dad and I went to a Christmas candlelight service at the church we've been visiting. We had communion and talked about the birth of Christ- the ultimate gift (Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 2:1-21). With all the lights, decorations, and gifts surrounding the Christmas season, we sometimes forget why and who we are celebrating. It's nice to be reminded because who doesn't get caught up in everything else? I know I do. I had to work until 6 last night, (my first Christmas Eve working...#yayrealworld) so when I came home my mom had dinner prepared and ready to eat! We ate and then opened presents. My family has always opened gifts from each other on Christmas Eve (that are wrapped and under the tree) and then Christmas Day we get to see what Santa brought. We like to end the night by watching a Christmas movie  (usually whatever classic is on) and bake cookies for Santa!

What are some of your favorite Christmas traditions?

"And the angel said to them,
"Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger."
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!"
When the angles went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another,
"Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us."
And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger.
And when they saw it, they made known the saying that had been told them concerning this child. And all who heard it wondered at what the shepherds told them.
But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart.
And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them.
And at the end of eight days, when he was circumcised, he was called Jesus, the name given by the angel before he was conceived in the womb."
Luke 2:1-21

Merry Christmas- from my family to yours!

Stay sunny,

Katie
