HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE FOR HER

When I give gifts, I like to give some practical things that might be needed or would just be a good gift, but I also love to buy things that are fun and something that person may or may not ever buy for themselves because they don't "need" it. For example, this super quirky Kate Spade Fox hat or this adorable cupcake hat. I'm willing to bet that at least one friend just popped in your head that would totally wear one of those!

So, when shopping for the ladies in your life, it's always easiest to start with basics and build up. Here are some of my favorite basic items that most of us girls get a lot of use out of.

1. A nice wallet - I love to stay organized. I like to keep my wallet pretty cleaned out most of the time so it's not bulky in my purse. Sometimes, I like to only carry around my wallet instead of my purse which is why I love this Tory Burch wallet so much. It's a wallet on a chain so you can carry just the important things you need in your wallet as an adorable crossbody! Win-win!

2. Mongrammed Weekender - I don't know about you, but I love anything monogrammed. I believe Reese Witherspoon said it best, "If it isn't moving, monogram it." Why not get a cute duffle bag and have it personalized? This would be great for that high schooler going to sleepovers, college friends going on weekend retreats, and vacations! Even if your friend isn't into monograms, a nice leather tote is great, or just whatever style you think they'll love! It's practical and cute.

3. Earrings - I don't think I have a single girl friend who doesn't have her ears pierced, so naturally I keep earrings in the back of my mind as a good gift! No matter what style the woman you're buying for has, the options are endless. You could do some really nice pearls, sterling silver studs, hoops, or a great pair of Kendra Scott's

4. Sunglasses - For some reason, I automatically feel more confident when I put on my favorite pair of sunglasses when I'm out. I have these RayBans and I love them because they're classic and simple. I also love aviators and these retro ones.

5. Nail Polish and/or Eyeshadow Palette - For all you girly girls out there, this is a perfect gift! My two favorite brands of nail polish are Essie and OPI. Pick out a few colors and you have a great stocking stuffer! As for eyeshadow, this palette is amazing! I got it last year for Christmas and I still have tons of colors left. The quality is fantastic and there are so many different looks you can do with all the colors. I also love this palette that is smaller and probably a bit more practical. You can also give a gift certificate to a nail salon or spa.

Don't get me wrong, all these gifts are great, but personal gifts are the best! Gifts that are thoughtful and from the heart. A few examples of those would be a picture collage of you and your friends, something that is homemade from that hidden talent you have like wood building or crocheting, a homemade spa kit, or even have all her favorite recipes bound in a notebook. Just remember, gifts don't have to be extravagant or expensive to be loved!

Happy Shopping!

Stay sunny,

Katie
